Mitchell J. Mertz is the Director of Quality Assurance and oversees quality control compliance and administration of the firm. Mitch has over 40 years of experience in financial reporting and auditing, internal control auditing, forensic auditing, transaction advisory services, and quality assurance. He was a former audit partner at Touche Ross and then Deloitte and Touche. Mitch has also served in the capacities of Senior to Partner at various mid-sized accounting firms. He has extensive management leadership experience with demonstrated strengths in technical knowledge, client service, operations, and practice development. Mitch is currently on the Board of Directors and is the past chairman of the Audit and Accounting Oversight and SEC Committees of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He has spoken at technical conferences and meetings on various accounting and auditing topics.
